This works about as well as I expected. Will not work in anything but direct sunlight. The top is awkward to get off and, in pulling from the top portion, it's come apart after a few refills. It goes back together, works, and I now remove the top from the bottom larger metal part but I'm not real confident this is an effective distribution of scents. If it used batteries or something consumable I'd probably toss it, but since it's solar I do use it and it works somewhat adequately. A side note, I purchased "essential oils" for this thing but they aren't very strong nor do they last long. I ordered "candle/soap scents" and they are stronger and last longer.
