Had no idea that I would have to climb up into my car to get up on the step as the hinges are set up much higher than I thought. That said, It works perfectly and is very simple and sturdy to use and comes in a nice bag where you can stow it under a front seat to help you access the roof rack.Very well made and sturdy. Easy to use.My Ford explorer, this works great.. But my daughter's Kia Sorento. No.Her truck door jam is too high for this unit. I can't step from the door frame to this unit, but if I could, the roof of the truck would be mid-thigh.. check the height of your door jam first...nice size. solid. easy to use. 1 minor issue, that really has very little to do with the design and more with the combination of this design and MY vehicle. the step on the rear door. due to the shape of the door frame, the brace slides out. turns the step sideways, dumping me on to the ground. I will be adding a hook to the bottom of the support that will hook just inside the door to prevent this.Buy this. works great. JUST BE CAREFUL.Decent all around step. Worked on my car and truck. Granted you must be in shape to pull your self up and able to handle a large step. Even came with a felt like bag to store it in. I like it and I'm buying another for family members as giftsThe FOLIV car door step is well made, user friendly and easy to store. We are happy we bought it to use for our Toyota Sienna van with a Thule carrier on top.I bought this so I could more easily prop my kayak on my car. It fits perfectly in the door I feel perfectly secure standing on it and it is made the process so much easierI bought this to help to load/unload the kayak on my ford explorer. this is very sturdy and very helpful. very well built.
