This has proven to be an excellent case for my Blackberry Classic. It is a good blend of a soft case and a hard case, having the soft wrapping completely around the back and sides of the phone to provide cushioning protection and the hard case portion providing more solid protection to the back and corners. The case also protrudes above the phone on the face side a good couple of millimeters or so, not a great deal but enough that it helps to provide cushioning if your phone lands on its face. This has saved me from a cracked screen when in other cases that are more flush fitting I have had cracks and damage (I still would recommend some manner of screen protectors though as an added precaution). The kickstand is handy for some things, though pretty useless for watching videos and the like as the Classic has no ability in most cases to rotate the video screen to landscape orientation. It fits well in the holster, snug enough you haven't any worries about the phone coming out and not so snug it is difficult to pull out. Overall, excellent protection particularly for the price.So why the four star instead of five rating? This is my second case, the first one the rotation/belt clip broke and the corner edge snapped off one part of the phone. The latter part is more a user fail as I had dropped it a few times on concrete (again, points for the case as it did what I really needed it to, kept my phone from damage). The former, however, is more a manufacturing issue. The rotation and clip mechanism seems a little flimsy. However, I did spring for a second one as the first lasted about eight months so for the price point its worthwhile to me. YMMV. I didn't really need or care for the pink color of the soft part so I simply removed it and reused the darker purple one I have from the previous case. The pink is a good backup if nothing else.I bought this for my friend. He uses it with his phone everyday. He also has the blue and camo ones. They are very sturdy and last a long time. Great product for the price.Like the kickstandStrong
