I bought these lights to use in a jewelry project. Perfect for my use. Although the battery life is short, I just buy back up batteries for them.Bought these for my sons wedding they are what we was looking for.I Ike the fact they were led and what u needed what I didn’t know or like was the last for a few hoursI'm a fledgling 3D printer, and a professional photographer. As I develop my printing skills, and I engage more and more complex prints, especially with the upcoming holidays, I'm always looking for ways to light my prints. Inevitably, fitting lights, wires, and batteries into a print can be a challenge. These little bullet lights, being self-contained, are a GREAT solution to add LED goodness about as simply as possible. They are fairly bright, and maintain that brightness for most of their shortened life of their batteries.I have uploaded a dimensional drawing. I have found a very good way of incorporating this light in smaller prints is to design a 22.5mmx11.5mm cylinder into an item, then superglue the bullet into place in this cylinder. You end up with the rubber collar (13.5mm in diameter) and the eyelet extending outside the print, but if you put it in the back, this isn't bad, plus you can use the rubber collar as a switch, since the way the LED is turned on and off is by twisting. The best filament I've used has been Taulman 3D T-Glase, which has great optical properties. So, why not 5 stars? Well, the LED only stays lit for a couple hours, then needs THREE BATTERIES. These batteries, shown in a couple of the photos included, ar LR41 type. The least expensive I've found these on Amazon has been $7 for 40, which works out to roughly $0.50 per changeout: NOT CHEAP. I'm going to keep looking for cheaper ordering options, but I have to say, paying 50 cents every day for each print ain't great.I'm investigating a way to wire in a USB connector to allow the option of plugging the LED in, but if I do this, I might as well just install a bare LED, and wire it directly. So, if you're looking for a very simple way to add an LED light to something, it doesn't get much easier than this. However, if you want to light it up more than a few minutes at a time, you're gonna need to look for another solution, unless you own a battery store!Recommended with reservations.Great product
