We just received these about two weeks ago so I can't vouch for their longevity yet. The housing is very sturdy. They come charged but I went ahead and put them in full sunlight for a couple of hours to be sure they were fully charged. We are using these to light up the end of the driveway for a marker. As expected, they're very visible in the dark and do the job we need them to do. My one concern is changing the battery. The battery access panel is on the bottom of the unit and the unit is screwed down into the concrete. I don't expect it will be too difficult to remove. These also come with all the hardware you'll need, including a rubber gasket to ensure a tight fit. So far, so good!
